AI Visibility

Use the AI Search tab to scan what Google Gemini and ChatGPT say about your business — and understand what the scores mean.

What is AI Visibility

AI Visibility measures how well your business is represented across AI search engines — specifically Google Gemini and ChatGPT. Unlike traditional SEO which measures your ranking in search results, AI Visibility measures whether AI systems can find, verify, and accurately describe your business.

A business with strong AI Visibility will be correctly cited by AI agents when users ask questions about your industry, location, or services. A business with weak AI Visibility may be described inaccurately, ignored entirely, or confused with another business.

Running a Scan

To scan your AI Visibility, go to the AI Search tab in the Osapher app and enter your domain. Click Scan AI Visibility. Osapher will query both Google Gemini and ChatGPT simultaneously and return their responses within 15–30 seconds.

Scan limits
Free accounts can run 3 AI Visibility scans. Starter and Agency plans include unlimited scans.

Understanding the Results

Each engine returns a visibility score from 0–100 and a status indicator:

  • CITED — the AI engine has specific, accurate information about your business
  • PARTIAL — the AI engine has some information but it may be incomplete or outdated
  • NOT FOUND — the AI engine has no specific information about your business

Below the score, the full AI response is shown — exactly what the engine would say about your business if a user asked about it.

Gemini vs ChatGPT

Gemini and ChatGPT use different data sources and retrieval methods, which is why results often differ:

  • Google Gemini uses live web search grounding — it retrieves current information from the web at query time. A strong Gemini score indicates your business has good web presence and structured data.
  • ChatGPT uses training data with a knowledge cutoff. It knows what was publicly available about your business up to its training date. A strong ChatGPT score indicates your business has been widely cited across the web over time.

Different scores are normal
It is common for a business to score well on Gemini but poorly on ChatGPT, or vice versa. Each engine represents a different dimension of your AI visibility.

Improving Your Score

The most effective actions to improve your AI Visibility score are:

  1. Deploy your verified schema via Sync & Deploy in the Entity Vault
  2. Add Wikidata knowledge terms in the Semantic tab to help AI engines understand your business category
  3. Build citations on authority platforms — Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Trustpilot, and Crunchbase
  4. Ensure your ABR or NZBN record is up to date and matches your trading name
